Sizeof operator: sizeof() 
sizeof() is a operator which is used to find number of bytes occupied by the variable, constants or datatype. It is used to allocate memory dynamically during program execution.

Syntax
sizeof(variable|constants|datatype)
Program

    printf("a variable occupies %d bytes\n",sizeof(a));
    printf("b variable occupies %d bytes\n",sizeof(b));
}
Output 
a variable occupies 2 bytes
b variable occupies 4 bytes
