Why Tamarind rasam
Tamarind rasam is a basic quick and easy rasam recipe.Main key to making a good rasam is not to overboil as it loses its flavour.Rasam helps in digestion.

Step 1:
Soak tamarind in 2 cups of hot water for 20mins.

Step 2:
In a kadai heat a tsp of oil add tomatoes and turmeric powder saute till raw smell of tomatoes leave.

Step 3:
Then add the tamarind juice to the kadai.

Step 4:
Let it to boil for 3mins until raw smell of tamarind leaves.Then add rasam powder.

Step 5:
Heat the kadai with oil and add Oil,Mustard seeds,Curry Leaves,Red chillies.

Step 6:
Add it to the rasam.Let it come to a rolling boil switch off and garnish with coriander leaves.

Step 7:
Serve it with rice.
